KIPPRA Mentorship Programme at University of Eldoret

On the 13th of February 2020, the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis held the KIPPRA Mentorship Programme for Universities at the University of Eldoret. The theme of the event was the Big Four Agenda. The One-day event saw the likes of National Youth Council, Kenya Vision 2030, Youth Enterprise Development Fund, National Cohesion and values, SME Support Centre and Youth Programs and Liaison in attendance and making presentations to the youth at the event.

Walter Mong’are, famously known as Nyambane was the master of ceremony for the event. Walter oversees Youth Programs in the Office of the President. He emphasized on the need for innovation towards the youth, so as to have opportunities in entrepreneurship.

University students from Baraton University, Moi University and University of Nairobi, among others were in attendance.

Students participated in an essay competition on the big four agenda and 69 students were awarded with certificates for their exemplary and innovative essays.

In an effort to enhance further engagements, KIPPRA and UOE signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
