Strategic Plan Launch and YP Graduation Ceremony

KIPPRA launched its 5th strategic plan and oversaw graduation of 23 young professionals on 21st December 2023 at Safari Park Hotel. The colourful event was presided over by PS, State Department for Economic Planning, Mr James Muhati.

The strategic plan 2022/2023-2027/2028, which is aligned to the revised Guidelines for the Preparation of the Fifth Generation Strategic Plans 2023/2024 – 2027/2028 shared by the State Department for Economic Planning, will serve as a blueprint for implementation of the Institute’s mandate. The Strategic Plan outlines the Institute’s focus areas, which include policy research and analysis in alignment with the Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda.

The launch of the Strategic Plan was shortly followed by graduation of 23 KIPPRA Young Professionals (YPs) cohort 2022-2023. The YPs programmes is KIPPRA’s flagship programme that has been running since 2003 and has overseen 20-40 graduands each year. The programme targets young persons from both public and private sector at initial stages of their career. On 21st of December 2023, the Institute oversaw 23 Young Professionals’ successful completion of the programme and their subsequent graduation.

The event was attended by PS for State Department for Economic Planning, Mr James Muhati, KIPPRA Board of Directors, the graduands, and a host of KIPPRA staff led by Executive Director, Dr Rose Ngugi.
