Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting Training in Kisumu

The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis is undertaking a training on Macroeconomic Modelling and Forecasting as part of its capacity building to officials from various government institutions. The five-day training started on Monday 17th of February and will end on Friday 21st of February 2020. The training takes place in Kisumu.

The training mainly targets economists in various Central Planning Units of the Government. There is a total of 10 participants from Retirements Benefits Authority (RBA), Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) and Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). The training mainly focuses on: Theory in macroeconomic modelling, Macroeconomic blocks,   Estimation of equations in the macroeconomic blocks, Diagnosis of time series data and Building a Prototype Model.
