KIPPRA participated in the recently concluded Kakamega International Investment Conference (KAIICO), which took place at Masinde Muliro University grounds from March 19th to 22nd, 2024. Led by Principal Librarian Winnie Nguyu, KIPPRA took center stage, exhibiting and disseminating a diverse array of its initiatives and research findings at its dedicated stand.
This vibrant conference, graced by the esteemed presence of His Excellency President William Samoei Ruto as the chief guest, attracted an impressive turnout of over 2,000 attendees. The event served as a bustling hub for interaction and collaboration, with numerous public and private sector institutions converging to showcase their contributions and engage in meaningful dialogue.
Among the distinguished personalities in attendance were Prime Cabinet Secretary and CS for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Hon Musalia Mudavadi, CS for East African Community, the ASALs, and Regional Development, Rebecca Miano, as well as the US Ambassador to Kenya, Ms Meg Whitman. Additionally, the conference boasted a notable presence of Governors, Senators, members of the National Assembly, and heads of various state corporations.
