KIPPRA held a capacity building workshop in Executive Public Policy Making Process for Masinde Muliro University for Science and Technology (MMUST) staff on 14th March 2024 in Mombasa. The workshop is facilitated by Senior Policy Analyst, Mr Victor Mose and Research Mentor, Dr George Lutomia. The training The course is designed to build the capacity of executives in public policy making by the government, on behalf of the citizens. The course examines the various stages of policy making and policy analysis as well as the policy instruments that governments use to achieve their intended goals.
The workshop that brought togethers 18 participants from MMUST covered the Public Policy Making Process module and included the key elements on creating a public policy, role of stakeholders in public policy, participation, problem identification, agenda setting, policy design, policy implementation, policy monitoring and evaluation.
