KIPPRA’s Executive Director, Dr Rose Ngugi attended WIDER Development Conference on the role of domestic revenue mobilization in development in Oslo, Norway from 6th to 9th September 2023. Dr Ngugi participated in a panel discussion where she highlighted the need to mobilize revenues for infrastructure and public services, to get the right mix with external funding.
The conference brought together experts from research and policy networks from around the world to discuss and debate the findings and policy recommendations of UNU-WIDER’s Domestic Revenue Mobilization (DRM) research programme. The conference will support policy processes in partner countries and in the Global South by sharing new knowledge on how domestic revenue mobilization can be enhanced and how it can combat poverty. The conference was also attended by KIPPRA Principal Policy Analyst, Dr Moses Njenga.
