On November 6, 2024, Mr. Thomas Powers, Program Director at Williams College Center for Development Economics (CDE), paid a courtesy call to the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) to discuss the CDE Masters Program in Policy Economics (MaPE). The 10-month intensive program is tailored for public sector officials from developing countries, equipping them with advanced knowledge of the development process and economic policy formulation.
Mr. Powers was welcomed by KIPPRA’s Director of Corporate Services, Ms. Irene Mithia, and conducted an informative session with interested staff members. The program, set to run from August 2025 to June 2026, offers scholarships for qualified applicants. Public sector professionals with practical policy experience were encouraged to apply through the Williams College website.
The session was attended by KIPPRA’s Deputy Director of Human Resource, Ms. Monica Sifuna, and several staff members, underscoring KIPPRA’s commitment to capacity building and professional development.
