Stakeholder Validation Workshop on Kenya Economic Report 2025

KIPPRA held a stakeholder validation workshop on Kenya Economic Report 2025 on 19th February 2024 in Nairobi. The validation workshop aimed to gather stakeholder views and insight on the Kenya Economic Report 2025 which is themed Creating Decent Jobs for Prosperity. KER 2025 has 10 areas of focus: trends in macroeconomic performance; Kenya’s medium term macroeconomic prospects; enhancing decent and smart jobs in agriculture through digital extension services; enhancing the competitiveness of the manufacturing sector for decent job creation; promoting youth employability through investment in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET); revitalizing job creation in the domestic trade sector; harnessing the potential of decent jobs in the E-mobility sub-sector; and enhancing decent jobs at the county level.

The overarching goal for the report will be to present evidence-based public policy options that can create decent jobs for prosperity in Kenya by boosting productivity across various sectors. The workshop was facilitated by the KER Committee Chair, Mr Hillary Wakhungu and drew stakeholders from the National and county governments, SAGAs, MDAs, and the private sector.
