Southern Voice Network

Southern Voice is a network of think tanks that informs global policy debates and decision-making on sustainable development issues. With 70 network members, it produces evidence-based research from Global South countries and translates it into action. By joining forces, the network contributes to a more equitable, sustainable, and prosperous Global South.

Since its inception in 2013, Southern Voice has evolved into a vibrant network of think tanks from Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Asia. These think tanks are dedicated to leveraging quality local data and research to enhance the debate on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and increase the 2030 Agenda’s impact on the Global South.

KIPPRA Executive Director, Dr. Rose Ngugi, serves as the Chairperson of the Southern Voice Steering Committee, which provides advice and direction to the network’s activities and oversees the implementation of its strategy and programs by the Secretariat.
