KIPPRA, in collaboration with the African Center for Economic Transformation (ACET), officially launched the Kenya Country Economic Transformation Outlook (CETO) on 9th July 2025 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Upper Hill, Nairobi.
The launch was presided over by Mr. James Maina, Director of Planning, Macroeconomic Planning and International Economic Partnerships, State Department for Economic Planning, who represented the Principal Secretary for Economic Planning. Also present were Dr. Eldah Onsomu, Acting Executive Director at KIPPRA; Ms. Brenda Chongo-Chanda, Head of Economic Management and Governance at ACET; and Dr. Macdonald Obudho, Director General of the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS), among other senior government officials and development partners.

The event featured in-depth presentations by experts from KIPPRA and ACET on Kenya’s economic transformation trajectory, with discussions focusing on productivity, value addition, and inclusive growth. A vibrant panel session followed, featuring insights from stakeholders representing the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM), UN Women, and the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS), and was moderated by Prof. Julius Gatune
