KIPPRA team, led by Ag. Executive Director Dr. Eldah Onsomu, was hosted by the leadership of Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) Holdings Limited on 26th August 2025. The team was warmly received by KTDA National Chairman, Mr Geoffrey Chege Kirundi and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wilson Muthaura, at the agency’s headquarters in Nairobi.
The meeting provided a platform to explore potential areas of collaboration between the two institutions, with a key focus on enhancing KTDA’s policy framework. Discussions centered on how KIPPRA could provide technical support to KTDA in developing new policies while reviewing and refining existing ones to better align with the dynamic tea sector and national development priorities.
