KIPPRA Signs MOU with Great Lakes University of Kisumu

KIPPRA has formalized a partnership with Great Lakes University of Kisumu (GLUK) through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on 19th February 2025. The MOU was signed by KIPPRA Ag. Executive Director, Dr Eldah Onsomu and GLUK Vice-Chancellor, Prof Hazel Miseda Mumbo. This collaboration aims to enhance research, capacity building, and policy analysis initiatives, leveraging the strengths of both institutions to address national development challenges.​

The MOU outlines several key areas of cooperation, including joint research projects, policy analysis, and the development of training programs tailored to build capacity in public policy formulation and implementation. Additionally, the partnership seeks to provide mentorship opportunities for students and faculty, fostering a deeper understanding of the policy-making process and its practical applications.​

This collaboration aligns with KIPPRA’s ongoing efforts to partner with academic institutions to bridge the gap between research and policy-making.
