KIPPRA Plants 1,000 Indigenous Trees to Support National Reforestation Goals

On October 1, 2024, the KIPPRA CSR and Environment Committee took an active step in environmental conservation by planting 1,000 indigenous tree seedlings at the Wildlife Research Training Institute (WRTI) sanctuary in Naivasha. This initiative aims to restore and preserve biodiversity at the sanctuary, contributing to the national reforestation goals.

This tree-planting activity aligns with the presidential directive to grow 15 billion trees by 2032, a critical milestone in Kenya’s climate action and biodiversity efforts. By integrating conservation with sustainable development goals, KIPPRA’s efforts support both ecological restoration and the country’s commitment to environmental stewardship.
