KIPPRA called on the Centre for Parliamentary Studies and Training (CPST) on 20th January 2026. The delegation led by the KIPPRA Executive Director Dr Eldah Onsomu was received by CPST’s Director of Finance and Administration Dr Wakah George and explored areas of strengthening institutional collaboration in policy research, capacity building, and knowledge dissemination.
The meeting, hosted by CPST, focused on identifying mutual areas of cooperation, including joint research, collaborative publications, and the formalization of the partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The proposed MoU is expected to provide a structured framework for sustained collaboration that supports evidence-based policymaking and enhances parliamentary effectiveness.

During the engagement Dr Onsomu, underscored the importance of strategic partnerships in advancing impactful public policy research and ensuring that research outputs effectively inform legislative and governance processes. Dr Wakah also reaffirmed CPST’s commitment to working closely with KIPPRA to leverage complementary strengths in research, training, and policy advisory services for the benefit of Parliament and other stakeholders.
Also in attendance were Dr Eliud Moyi, Deputy Director, Partnership Department; Dr Nancy Nafula, Ag. Deputy Director, Governance and Head of the Gender Centre and Specialized Groups; Mr Mohamednur Duba; Zeinabu Rono; and Bonface Njue.
