KIPPRA Partners with the Brookings Institution

The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) is among five African Think Tanks that have established a partnership with The Brookings Institution’s Africa Growth Initiative (AGI). This partnership seeks to promote high quality research on Africa economic development as well as structural information with a particular focus on agriculture for the period July 2011-June 2012.

Through this joint venture, Brookings working with KIPPRA will develop annual/biennial research programmes that will see researchers visit the Institute in Washington DC to undertake collaborative research, participate in joint outreach initiatives and promote the Brookings AGI brand in Africa.

KIPPRA will undertake joint research projects in: Assessing critical policy issues required to accelerate agricultural transformation in Kenya; Evaluating agricultural export performance: Drivers of success for French beans and fruits, and; Do divisia monetary aggregates matter for monetary policy and Learning to compete project.
