KIPPRA participated in the 6th NIPN Global Gathering in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia from 22nd October 2024 to 25th October 2024. The global gathering which is themed “NIPN for the Future: Sustainability in an Evolving Policy Environment” brought together nine NIPN implementing countries. Discussions focused on supporting sustainability plans, advocating for domestic funding, and promoting NIPN at global and national levels, with particular focus on countries with devolved governance and advancing the NIPN initiative. The KIPPRA team was led by Director Economic Management, Dr Eldah Onsomu.
The 6th NIPN Global Gathering, occurring five months before the Nutrition for Growth (N4G) summit in Paris (March 2025), featured the event “When data works: A call to invest in nutrition information systems at the N4G Paris 2025”. Organised by NIPN and EC-NIS, the event showcased how strong national leadership in nutrition information systems can enhance nutrition outcomes.
