KIPPRA Meets RISA Fund Partners to Discuss Collaborative Policy Research

KIPPRA, through the Private Sector Development Department, hosted GrowthAfrica and Systematic Innovation on 27th March 2023 to discuss collaboration in policy research. The specific focus of the discussion was on design and co-creation of a data collaboration aimed at scaling ventures in Kenya and understanding factors that propel or inhibit successful scaling..

In attendance was Mr Scott Walker and Ms Belinda Bowling, partners at Systematic Innovation and Ms Lydiah Zachary, project Coordinator Kenya, GrowthAfrica. Other issues discussed include KIPPRA’s potential contribution to the project, available data to support the success of the project, scaling firms, women and youth-led scaling ventures and government interventions.

GrowthAfrica and Sytematic Innovation are working to conceptualize, design and launch a scalable and replicable model for data observatory for scaling commercial ventures in Kenya, Ethiopia and Rwanda.

GrowthAfrica is a Pan-African accelerator and entrepreneur support organization dedicated to accelerating the growth and impact of African entrepreneurs. Systematic Innovation is a systematic change innovation practice that solves wicked systematic challenges through collective intelligence model that connects people, ideas and insights.

The project runs from January to the end December 2023, and is supported by the Research and Innovation Systems for Africa (RISA) Fund, a multi-country project funded by the UK through the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO)
