KIPPRA Inducts New Executive Director 

The KIPPRA Board of Directors held an induction and orientation session for the new Executive Director, Dr Eldah Onsomu on 6th October 2025 in Nairobi. The session was led by the Board Chairperson, Prof. Paul Wachana, who congratulated Dr Onsomu on her appointment and welcomed her to the Institute. In his remarks, the Board Chair noted that Dr Onsomu is expected to sustain KIPPRA’s culture of performance and steer the Institute towards greater levels of success and impact. Board members present emphasized that key priority areas for the new Executive Director include enhancing the Institute’s visibility and strengthening its policy influence.

They further highlighted the importance of proactive engagement with key stakeholders, including donors, development partners, and government Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs). Additionally, the Board expressed its expectation that under Dr Onsomu’s leadership, KIPPRA will forge new frontiers in policy research and analysis and further strengthen its contribution to the achievement of national development goals.
