KIPPRA hosted a workshop to review the Kenya Fiscal Incidence Report on 9th April 2025, with extensions for the Commitment to Commitment to Equity for Children. The fiscal incidence analysis estimates aim to analyze the distributional effects of fiscal policies on income and welfare in Kenya.
The report is a result of a collaborative research between KIPPRA, World Bank, University of Nairobi, UNICEF and the Kenya National Bureau of Statistics. This is part of the KIPPRA Modelling Hub-Kenya Fiscal Incidence Analysis work.

Those in attendance at the event included the KIPPRA Ag. Executive Director Dr Eldah Onsomu, Ms Precious Zikhali and Dr Yared Said from World Bank; Ms Gaby Guerrero (Chief Social Policy, UNICEF), Mr Ian Hout (Consultant Commitment to Equity for children), Mr Luke Harman, Mr Godfrey Ndege, Ms Vivian Nyakangi and Dr James Babu Ochieng from UNICEF; Prof. Damiano Kulundu and Prof. Martin Oleche from the University of Nairobi; and Mr Paul Kemboi Samoei and Mr Pius Ng’ang’a from Kenya National Bureau of Statistics. Other KIPPRA staff at the workshop were Ms Melap Sitati, Mr Adan Shibia, Mr Boaz Munga and Ms Violet Nyabaro.
