KIPPRA in collaboration with Oxfam and the Kenya Think Tanks Forum, hosted the Kenya Think Tanks Symposium 2025 on 29th and 30th April 2025 in Nairobi. Themed “Policy Solutions for Reducing Income Inequality in the Future of Work”, the two-day event was opened by Mr. Herman Shambi, Secretary, Labour, on behalf of the Principal Secretary, Labour and Skills Development. The symposium which brought together Kenyan Think Tanks seeks to explore how government policies can be reimagined to address income inequality in a rapidly changing workforce landscape.

The 6th Kenya Think Tanks Symposium came to a close with remarks from Ag. Executive Director Dr Eldah Onsomu. In her closing remarks, Dr. Onsomu emphasized the critical role of think tanks in shaping Kenya’s development agenda through rigorous research and inclusive policy dialogue. She called on Think Tanks to strengthen collaboration in generating timely, relevant, and actionable research that addresses both national and global challenges.
