On November 8, 2024, the Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) hosted a roundtable discussion on “Understanding the Implications of Gender Dynamics on Job Creation in Kenya: The Efficacy of Female Labour.”
The session featured presentations on Women in STEM and Related Jobs, Work-life Balance in Disciplined Forces, and Traditional Cultural Norms and Employment. Participants engaged in breakout group discussions to explore strategies for enhancing gender inclusivity across various sectors.
The event brought together representatives from organizations such as the Judiciary, CEMASTEA, JASLIKA, NCPD, RELI Africa, Kenyatta University Women’s Economic Empowerment Hub (KUWEE), KNATCOM, Girl Child Network, Usawa Agenda, the National Police Service, and Zizi Afrique, alongside KIPPRA staff.
KIPPRA Research Mentor, Dr. George Lutomia, led the KIPPRA team in facilitating these critical discussions, highlighting the institute’s commitment to fostering gender-inclusive policy solutions for sustainable development.
