On 29th of November 2024, KIPPRA’s Acting Executive Director, Dr. Eldah Onsomu, hosted a delegation from Vihiga, Kakamega, and Siaya Counties for a four-day induction workshop focused on the MoU Implementation Plan between KIPPRA and the three counties. The senior officers, members of the MoU Implementation Committees, discussed strategies for strengthening collaboration between KIPPRA and county governments.
Dr. Onsomu emphasized the importance of enhancing cooperation, particularly in public policy development and capacity building for county staff. Key areas of deliberations included improving policy formulation, conducting joint research, and fostering private sector investment through well-structured county programs. This initiative aligns with KIPPRA’s commitment to supporting devolution in Kenya by boosting governance and policymaking capacities across counties.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Director Partnerships, Dr. Eliud Moyi, Research Mentor, Dr. George Lutomia, and Acting Head of the Capacity Building Department, Mr. Victor Mose.
