KIPPRA hosted a delegation from the National Defense University- Kenya on a Study visit on 30th November 2o23. The delegation was led by Maj Gen Rashid A. Elmi, MBS ‘ndc’ (k) ‘acsc’(USA) and was received by a team from KIPPRA led by the Director Corporate Service Ms Irene Mithia, Director, DEM, Dr Eldah Onsomu and Dr Eliud Moyi from the Partnerships Department among other department heads. The purpose of the visit was for the delegates who are undertaking their master’s programme at the National Defense College (NDC) to learn about KIPPRA’s mandate and contribution to the national economy and the development agenda. NDC is a regional premier college of National Defense University Kenya (NDU-K), located in Karen, Nairobi.
The college prepares senior military officers and equivalent civil servants of the Republic of Kenya and their counterparts from selected allied countries for higher responsibilities in management of security and other related areas of public policy. The current course 26-2023/24 has participants drawn from Botswana, Burundi, Egypt, Ethiopia, India, Kenya, Malawi, Namibia, Nepal, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda and Zambia.
