KIPPRA hosted a delegation from the African Economic Research Consortium (AERC) on 9th July 2024. The delegation which was led by AERC Executive Director Prof. Victor Murinde was received by KIPPRA Executive Director Dr Rose Ngugi. Discussions focused on scaling up collaborations and enhancing partnerships between the two institutions on various areas including economic modelling, undertaking joint research, capacity building of Central Project Planning and Monitoring Departments, knowledge management and communications. A team of four personnel comprising staff from KIPPRA and AERC was constituted to spearhead the operationalization of the joint initiative between the two institutions. The AERC Executive Director was later taken on a tour of KIPPRA studio. Also in attendance were Director, Economic Management Dr Eldah Onsomu, Director Corporate Services, Ms Irene Mithia and Ag. Director Integrated Development, Dr John Karanja.
