KIPPRA Hosts a Side Event on Stakeholder Management and Public Participation for Effective Climate Action at the Climate Action Summit 2025

KIPPRA hosted a dynamic side event at the Climate Action Summit 2025 on 29th October at the Kenya School of Government in Nairobi, focusing on equipping youth with practical knowledge and skills in stakeholder management and public participation for effective climate action. The interactive session was facilitated by Mr Victor Mose, Acting Head of the Capacity Building Department at KIPPRA, and brought together young climate leaders, innovators, and policy enthusiasts from across the country. The training highlighted the critical role of youth in advancing Kenya’s climate agenda through inclusive participation and collaboration with diverse stakeholders. During the session, Mr Mose emphasized the importance of structured stakeholder engagement in climate policy processes.

He noted that effective public participation not only strengthens policy ownership but also enhances the accountability and sustainability of climate interventions. Participants were guided on practical strategies for identifying key stakeholders, managing competing interests, and promoting participatory decision-making in environmental governance.
