KIPPRA Hosts a Delegation from FAO

KIPPRA hosted a delegation from Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)’s Office of the Chief Economist on 16th August 2024. The delegation was led by Mr Flavio Bellomi and received by KIPPRA Executive Dr Rose Ngugi. The discussions at the meeting focused on government priorities, strategies and policies towards eradication of hunger and taking climate actions.

The delegation is in Kenya to have a better understanding of ways in which FAO could support the Government of Kenya to achieve its agri-food systems objectives within the framework of the roadmap to achieve SDG 2 without breaching the 1.5 degrees Celsius atmospheric temperature rise due to climate change. Also, in attendance were KIPPRA and FAO staff.
