KIPPRA held a consultative meeting with GIZ on April 2, 2026, to explore opportunities for collaboration on Computable General Equilibrium (CGE) modelling, with a focus on advancing policy insights on green hydrogen.
The KIPPRA delegation was led by Acting Director for Economic Management Dr Eliud Moyi and included Senior Policy Analyst Shadrack Mwatu and Policy Analyst Zainabu Rono. The GIZ team was led by Mr Florian Gueldner.

The discussions centred on strengthening analytical capacity and leveraging CGE modelling to support evidence-based policymaking in emerging sectors, particularly green hydrogen. The engagement also explored opportunities for continued collaboration in generating policy-relevant research to support Kenya’s sustainable development agenda.
