KIPPRA Executive Director Calls on Cabinet Secretary for Environment and Forestry

KIPPRA Executive Director, Dr Eldah Onsomu, called on the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Dr Deborah Barasa on 13th October 2025. Also in attendance were the National Government Affirmative Action Fund (NGAAF) Chief Executive Officer, Mr Roy Sasaka, the Acting Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Council (NYC), Ms Gloria Wawira, and other key stakeholders.

The discussions at the engagement focused on preparations for the 30th Conference of the Parties (COP30), scheduled to take place in Brazil in November 2025, as well as the Pre-COP30 Youth Conference to be held in Nairobi at the end of October 2025. The meeting explored opportunities for collaboration in advancing youth engagement, climate policy dialogue, and coordinated national participation in the upcoming global climate negotiations.
