KIPPRA convened the Kenya Think Tanks Forum on April 22, 2026, bringing together representatives from government, academia and research institutions to discuss how think tanks can better position themselves along the knowledge value chain, from evidence generation to policy impact.

The forum was opened by Acting Director for Economic Management Dr Eliud Moyi on behalf of the Executive Director and moderated by Principal Statistician Samuel Kaunde.

Panel discussions focused on strengthening evidence generation, translating research into actionable policy insights, bridging the gap between research and policymaking, and enhancing policy uptake. Participants underscored the importance of communicating research effectively, fostering collaboration among institutions and promoting continuous learning to increase the influence of evidence on public policy.
