KIPPRA called on the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA) to formalize collaboration and sign a contract that marks the beginning of an important partnership. The delegation led by KIPPRA Executive Director Dr Elder Onsomu was received by the KTDA Chairperson Chege Kirundi. Discussions at the meeting focused on strengthening KTDA’s policy framework in line with its strategic plan and the “farmers first” agenda.

In attendance were the KTDA Ag. Group CEO Francis Miano, and various Heads of Departments and KIPPRA’s Ag. Director for Integrated Development John Karanja, Assistant Directors Humphrey Njogu, Moses Njenga, and Evans Ngeno.
KIPPRA will comprehensively review and realign KTDA’s existing policies, identify and close policy gaps, and develop new policies where necessary to ensure alignment with the strategic plan and restore the institution to its original farmer-oriented vision.
