The KIPPRA Board and Management called on the Cabinet Secretary for the National Treasury and Economic Planning, Hon. John Mbadi, on 3rd November 2025. Discussions at the engagement focused on strengthening collaboration to advance evidence-based public policy and support Kenya’s economic planning agenda. The KIPPRA delegation was led by Board Chairperson, Prof. Paul Wachana, alongside the Institute’s Executive Director, Dr Eldah Onsomu. During the meeting, they reaffirmed KIPPRA’s commitment to providing policy research, capacity building, and advisory services to inform national development priorities, including the implementation of the Bottom-up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA) and Vision 2030.

Hon. Mbadi highlighted the importance of research and data-driven policy analysis in improving economic decision-making and service delivery. He emphasized that continued collaboration between the National Treasury and KIPPRA is vital for effective economic planning and the successful execution of government programmes. Also in attendance were the Principal Secretary for Economic Planning, Dr Bonface Makokha, and the Director General for Economic Planning, Dr Masini Ichwara.
