KIPPRA Bids Farewell to Outgoing Executive Director

KIPPRA Board of Directors and Senior Management bid farewell to the outgoing Executive Director Dr Rose Ngugi on Friday, 24th January 2024. Dr Ngugi was awarded a certificate of service and showered with gifts. Dr. Ngugi’s tenure at KIPPRA has been marked by transformative leadership and a commitment to evidence-based policy formulation. Her efforts have been instrumental in elevating KIPPRA’s status as a leading policy research institute in Africa. Under her guidance, the institute has provided technical support and capacity building on public policy making process, significantly impacting Kenya’s development goals.

Prior to her role at KIPPRA, Dr. Ngugi served as a Senior Advisor in the Office of the Executive Director for Africa Group 1 at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington D.C. She also contributed her expertise as a member of the Central Bank of Kenya’s Monetary Policy Committee and has an extensive teaching background at the University of Nairobi’s School of Economics.
