KIPPRA, in collaboration with the African Capacity Building Foundation (ACBF) hosted a roundtable workshop on “Public Financial Management Oversight and Accountability Challenges in Kenya: Evidence to Inform Policy Dialogues” under the Enhancing Leadership and Governance in Public Financial Management (ELG-PFM) in Kenya Project on 23rd October 2025. The workshop brought together key stakeholders, including representatives from the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA), The National Treasury, and the Office of the Controller of Budget, among others. The session provided a platform for policymakers and practitioners to engage on critical oversight and accountability challenges within Kenya’s public financial management framework.

The discussion was led by Mr Jacob Nato, Policy Analyst at KIPPRA, who guided participants through emerging evidence and policy implications. Deliberations focused on strengthening oversight, accountability, and collaboration mechanisms, with emphasis on enhancing transparency, coordination, and resource mobilization to support effective and sustainable fiscal governance.
