Induction of New KIPPRA Management Staff

Eight newly recruited senior management staff underwent a five-day induction programme on 13th to 18th December 2022 at the Kenya School of Government, Nairobi. The aim of the programme was to enlighten the staff on key government operations and the guiding procedures, laws and ethics.

Among the themes covered during the training include labour laws, the devolved government structures and institutions, communication skills, effective human resource management, employee wellness and occupational safety, evolution of public service in Kenya, public service ethics and integrity, management of meetings, overview of public procurement, performance management, regulatory framework for management of public finance, executive paper writing and report writing.

The staff also went through another two-day internal induction by the Executive Director and heads of departments and divisions on 19th and 20th December 2022. This enabled the staff to get a broad understanding of KIPPRA’s mandate and programmes as well as the specific departmental activities.

The staff were three directors, four deputy directors and the corporation secretary.
