KIPPRA Policy Analyst Mr Paul Odhiambo participated in the induction workshop for County Executive Committee Members (CECMs) in charge of Trade, Industry, Manufacturing, Enterprise Development and Tourism from 6th to 9th December 2022 in Mombasa. The induction workshop which was organized by the Council of Governors brought together CECMs from all the 47 counties.
Mr Odhiambo made a presentation on trade, manufacturing and investment opportunities for the counties with focus on Kenya’s trade performance, key trade aspects, national and county sector policies and legislation and key sector indicators and statistics.
The purpose of the workshop was to ensure smooth transition of leadership in light of county leadership changes following the general elections and subsequent appointment of new county officials.
