Global Development Initiative (GDI) Seminar

KIPPRA participated at the Global Development Initiative (GDI) Seminar organized by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Kenya on 13th November 2025 in Nairobi. The KIPPRA team was led by Executive Director, Dr Eldah Onsomu, and included Policy Analyst Mr Jacob Nato and other staff members.

In her remarks, Dr Onsomu highlighted that a significant portion of the world’s workforce is concentrated in the Global South, where many are employed in the informal sector. She emphasized the importance of strengthening South-South cooperation to develop initiatives that uplift vulnerable communities and generate sustainable employment opportunities for Africa’s youthful population.
