KIPPRA participated in a meeting convened by the State Department for Economic Planning to review progress of performance contracting activities and strategize on areas of collaboration on 4th March 2026. The meeting was chaired by the Director General at the State Department for Economic Planning, Dr Masini Ichwara. The KIPPRA PC progress report was presented by the head of Strategy and Planning Mr Nahashon Mwongera, who noted that the Institute had so far achieved about 60% of the targets. One of the key challenges identified in the implementation of the PC is budgetary constraints, especially in the delivery of the presidential directive on tree growing.

Areas of collaboration identifies include KIPPRA’s support to the SDGs Coordination Directorate in undertaking a comprehensive analysis of the SDGs achievement; collaboration in delivery of the presidential directive on tree growing; and joint resource mobilization initiatives.
Other areas of collaboration pointed out include capacity building and training; media engagement; and stakeholder engagement forums such as the KIPPRA Annual Regional Conference. Other KIPPRA staff present include head of HR and Administration Ms Monica Sifuna, Senior Planning Officer Ms Grace Wangari and head of Communications Ms Jane Kenda.
