Dissemination Workshop on Entrenching a Resilient Creative Economy

KIPPRA held a stakeholder dissemination workshop to discuss findings of the Kenya Economic Report 2022 chapter on entrenching reliance in Kenya’s creative economy. Among those who attended the forum was State Department of Culture, Ministry of Sports Culture and Heritage Director Dr Kiprop Lagat, Creative Economy Working Group Chairperson Prof. Kimani Njogu and Music Advocate Africa CEO Mr George Asewe.

Experts and actors in Kenya’s creative space, including traditional and cultural expressions, visual arts, performing arts, published and printed media, new media, audio visual and design and creative services, shared their experiences and proposals on how Kenya can entrench a resilient creative economy.

The KIPPRA team was led by the Economic Management Director Dr Eldah Onsomu, who represented the Executive Director, and Senior Policy Analyst Ms Anne Gitonga.
