KIPPRA participated in the Climate Change Summit: Road to COP 30 on 28th to 31st October 2025 in Nairobi. The four-day summit, themed “Institutionalizing Climate Action in Kenya: Policy Alignment, Leadership Coordination and Localized Implementation,” was hosted by the Kenya School of Government in collaboration with KIPPRA, the Nairobi Rivers Commission, and other key institutions.


KIPPRA was actively represented throughout the summit. Dr Eliud Moyi participated in a panel session, contributing insights on climate policy and stakeholder engagement. On Day 3, KIPPRA led a session on Policy Advocacy and Negotiation Skills, presented by Dr George Lutomia, which equipped participants with practical tools for influencing policy decisions and negotiating effectively to achieve sustainable climate outcomes. The summit also welcomed the Cabinet Secretary for Environment and Climate Change, Dr Deborah Barasa, highlighting the event’s importance as a platform for advancing Kenya’s climate action agenda ahead of COP30.
