KIPPRA in collaboration with EDHEC Business School and the UNESCO Futures Literacy Chair undertook a six-week online training on “Building Strategic Foresight Capabilities” in which 257 participants drawn from KIPPRA, Counties, and MDAs were trained. The course which started on 11th October 2024 will come to a close on 30th November 2024.
The Futures Foresight tool helps anticipate multiple scenarios, see new opportunities arising from them, and design better futures through appropriate policy responses. This helps navigate uncertainties into the distant future by looking into ‘what if’ questions. Priority areas of applications include industrialisation in the context of digital and green transitions, digitisation in the informal sector towards increasing productivity, and the future of work.
