The objective of the research is to:  Analyze the effectiveness of   plea bargaining in the criminal justice system in Kenya  Analyze the effectiveness of Retributive justice vs Restorative justice  Analyze the state of the judiciary and administration of justice in Kenya   Identify different justice needs for the for women youth and the marginalized  Identify mechanisms to which justice can work for women youth and the marginalized  This is being undertaken by the Governance Department.   

The objective of this research is to:   Provide a situation analysis of innovation in Kenya aimed at drawing out the institutional and policy gaps  Build a Fintech Index for Kenya at national and across counties  Understand and document the initiatives in Kenya that adopt fintech and saving   Access the role of fintech in savings mobilization in Kenya  Carry out a study on the main innovation models     Propose an appropriate innovation model(s) for Kenya.   This is being undertaken by the Private Sector Development Department 

This is aimed at:   Reviewing policy and legal frameworks towards building smart cities in Kenya  Exploring smart city applications, including their opportunities and challenges for urban growth and development.   This is under the Infrastructure and Economic Services Department. 

This is an annual inter-departmental KIPPRA-Wide Survey (KWS) that is aimed at undertaking research that will culminate in 2021 KIPPRA Annual Regional Conference. This is undertaken across various departments.

The objective of the research is to: Establish the diverse labour market needs in context of future of work  Assess link between CBC and CBET on one hand and labour market needs   Identify interventions towards strengthening link between education, training and labour market.   This is being undertaken under the Social Sector Department. 

The research is aimed at:  Assessing the implications of AfCFTA on Kenya   Establishing welfare gains of AfCFTA ‘  Analyzing AfCFTA as an initiative for industrialization and economic development.   This is being done by the Trade and Foreign Policy Department. 

The objective of this study is to:   Assess the status of agricultural food safety and standards in Kenya  Evaluate the structures and procedures for production, handling, storage and sale of agricultural food in Kenya   Assess the implications of unsafe agricultural foods on the health of the population   Evaluate the link between food security and food safety.   The research is under the Productive Sector Department.  

This is aimed at: Supporting analysis of macroeconomic policy through use of macro models that are based on Kenyan economy Supporting active participation in the policy formulation process. This research is being conducted by the Macroeconomics Department.
