Achieving Food Security and Nutrition through Food Safety, Standards and Quality

The objective of this study is to:  

  • Assess the status of agricultural food safety and standards in Kenya 
  • Evaluate the structures and procedures for production, handling, storage and sale of agricultural food in Kenya  
  • Assess the implications of unsafe agricultural foods on the health of the population  
  • Evaluate the link between food security and food safety.  

The research is under the Productive Sector Department.
