The power of education to shape destinies

As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), KIPPRA staff took time off on Saturday 27th May 2017 to extend its service and give back to the community. This year, Gathirimu Girls’ High School, Mitahato and Ndiriti day secondary schools in Kiambu County were the lucky recipients of KIPPRA’s uplifting and enlightening motivational talks as well as generous gifts.
Led by the Executive Director Dr Rose Ngugi, the KIPPRA team arrived at Gathirimu at 10 am to a warm welcome by the principal Mrs Gitau, her staff and a cheerful team of girls chosen to receive the visitors.
After a light snack, the day’s activities kicked off with a tree-planting exercise near the school’s main gate. Meanwhile, Gathirimu students as well as student and staff representatives from the two nighbouring schools, Mitahato and Ndiriti, sang and danced in the Gathirimu school hall as they waited for the visitors.
