State House Mentorship Programme pupils visit KIPPRA

Sixty pupils under the Pupils Reward Scheme (PURES) undertook a study tour of KIPPRA on May 24 2017.

The PURES mentorship programme, which was launched by President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta in 2015, admits best academic performers from all the counties in Kenya to State House for one week. The pupils’ interaction with the President, First Lady and various government officials during the period is intended to motivate them to work hard in their studies and instill in them a sense of discipline, direction and patriotism.

The pupils together with State House officials and assistants accompanying them received a warm welcome into KIPPRA offices where they were guided to the boardroom and given variety of snacks and drinks. After brief introductions from KIPPRA staff and the visiting team, the pupils were given a simplified and illustrated presentation of what KIPPRA does in relation to various aspects of Kenya’s economy.
