The Kenya Institute for Public Policy Research and Analysis (KIPPRA) was established in May 1997 through a Legal Notice and commenced operations in June 1999. In 2006, the KIPPRA Bill was signed into law as KIPPRA Act No. 15 of 2006.
The mandate of the Institute is to conduct objective research and analysis on public policy issues with the goal of providing advisory and technical services to government agencies, and other stakeholders, in order to contribute to the achievement of national development goals.
KIPPRA is in the process of reviewing its legislative mandate to be in line with the Constitution of Kenya 2010, and more so a devolved system of government. In the process, KIPPRA has drafted a bill, KIPPRA Bill 2013, for consultation with various stakeholders before submitting to Parliament.
We invite you to review the Bill and give us comments that will enable us revise the Bill and hence serve you better. The document is downloadable from the KIPPRA website at http://www.kippra.or.ke/downloads/KIPPRA%20Bill%202013.pdf
